Stained Glass Workshop: 2-Day Workshop

Workshop Overview:

In this hands-on stained glass workshop, participants will learn the foundational techniques of stained glass making and complete their own small stained glass piece to take home. The workshop is designed for beginners, so no previous experience is required. By the end of the two days, participants will have a deeper understanding of the entire stained glass creation process, from design to finishing.

What You Will Learn:

1. Introduction to Stained Glass:

   • Brief history and styles of stained glass

   • Overview of tools, materials, and safety protocols

2. Design & Pattern Creation:

   • How to choose or create a simple pattern

   • Using templates to guide glass cutting

3. Glass Cutting:

   • Techniques for safely and accurately cutting glass

Participants should wear closed-toe shoes and consider bringing aprons or wearing clothes that may get dirty.

Workshop Schedule:

• Day 1:

  • 10:00 - 10:30: Introduction & Safety

  • 10:30 - 12:00: Design & Glass Cutting

  • 12:00 - 14:00: Foiling/Leading

• Day 2:

  • 10:00 - 12:00: Soldering & Assembly

  • 12:00 - 13:30: Patina, Finishing, and Polishing

  • 13:30 - 14:00: Review & Q&A
